There has been big news this week; Estate and Letting Agents can once again carry out viewings, conduct move-ins and even open the office, which means that we can now get our waiting tenants moved in at last. However we wanted to assure you of a few things;
During the ongoing pandemic, here at Charles Carter we have been fully operational throughout. Our management teams and lettings teams have been utilising technology and developing at quite an alarming rate to keep your properties on the market, such as conducting “virtual” viewings and setting up new lets for when we were once again able to carry out move ins (which is now permitted).
The announcement this week is of course great news, and as the government advises we will continue to work from home where possible. We are still taking calls, booking virtual viewings, taking applications and will of course now be carry out physical viewings where it is safe, following strict protocol and where there is a genuine interest in the property.
Over the last month or so during the lockdown, we have stacked up over 25 lets and this is testament to the effectiveness of what we have been doing and how we have been doing it. Many agents may have hibernated, but instead we have taken the opportunity to invest time and money into new technology and processes to get the business in the right place for this new world we all find ourselves in. This means NOW we are able to be fully functional with as minimal risk as possible to anyone; tenants, landlords or viewers.
There will be no big imminent announcement of “We are open again” because we NEVER closed…We are very keen to get back into our new office but for now, we are all working from home using new technology, videos and digital applications, which has proved to be hugely successful.
We will not be putting our team or tenants under unnecessary risk or pressure by re-opening our offices too soon as the death rate is still too high (and the government recommends we don’t) because we have proven we do not need to. Until then it is still business as is as usual as can be!
If you need to get into contact with us, please do so in the normal way by email or phone and we will do our best to help!
